I love to paint, I do. I sometimes have a difficult time deciding what to paint next because I have so many ideas circulating in my head. On occasion, I will do commissioned work, and I am always grateful for the opportunity and challenge.
There are times as an artist that you have to say no. No, I can’t copy someone else’s work or no I can’t paint this or that. And sometimes there are anxious moments as you try to truly uncover what a client is striving for.
A good friend recently approached me, phone in hand and asked if I could paint something for her. First thought, please let it be something I would want to paint. And bingo, it was. Never want to disappoint a friend! Piece has been completed and delivered to one happy friend.
